How do I get the MALFINI XML URL?
Contact your MALFINI sales rep or their partnership service. Access to the XML feed is reserved for MALFINI partner accounts — you will receive the URL adapted to your market (8 languages available).
Does the module work on PrestaShop 9?
Yes, that's even its main playground. Tested in production on PrestaShop 9.0.x. Also compatible with 8.x and 1.7.x.
How long does the full import take?
With all image views: 3-5h for 3,100 products + 17,000 size combinations. Without additional views: ~1h. Tip: let it run via overnight CRON.
Is the stock really real?
Yes, the MALFINI XML contains STOCK_AMOUNT per variant (size). The module syncs this stock on every import (full_import) or quick update (light_sync). Run light_sync 4×/day for near real-time stock.
Why 1 PS product per colour and not 1 product with 2 axes (colour×size)?
For front display simplicity and robustness: 1 product page = 1 consistent visual (images are per colour). The "Also available in" section visually indicates the other colours available. This approach also avoids PS image cache bugs when the combination changes.
What happens if MALFINI changes a price or adds a product?
On the next CRON full_import: the new product is created, existing prices are updated according to your tiers, stock per size is synced. You keep your modified descriptions if you have done so from the BO.
What are the B2B "Pcs in pack" and "Minimum purchase" attributes?
These are internal B2B data that MALFINI provides to its resellers (how many units per box, minimum purchase from them). The module automatically hides them from the description and PS Features so they are never visible to your end customer.
Does the module support a multilingual site?
The module imports in 1 language at a time (the one of the chosen XML file). For a multilingual store, the product content is written in all PS languages with the same value. To truly translate, you must do 1 import per language (clone the module).
Can I disable the module without losing my products?
Yes. Uninstalling preserves all data (products, categories, attributes, brands, supplier, logs). To erase this data: use the Tools → Selective deletion tab before uninstalling.
Does the module handle textile customisation (embroidery, screen printing)?
The module imports the product's technical specifications (possible application types: embroidery, screen printing, digital transfer, litho transfer, screen-print transfer, label change). However, it does not include the customisation service on the front (marking configurator, customer logo upload) — for that, use a module dedicated to product customisation.
